Barba Roja
Barba Roja is centrally located in Manuel Antonio. It is one of the older and better-known restaurants in Manuel Antonio and it features terrific ocean and sunset views.
Barba Roja has excellent seafood, steaks and burgers. The drinks from the bar are very good. In addition, they claim to have “world famous nachos”, although we have not tasted them.
This restaurant is American-owned and operated and is very foreigner-friendly. Highly recommended.

Getting to Manuel Antonio
There are two ways to get to Manuel Antonio: drive or fly. Driving is, surprisingly, relatively easy. The whole drive from the San Jose airport only consists of a few turns - driving directions here. But the drive will take you three or more hours. Flying is only 15 minutes to Quepos, but you'll have to brave a small plane and you'll only be able to take limited luggage with you. From there, you can take a short cab ride to Manuel Antonio.
